Job Title: Safety Officer (Civil/Infrastructure Projects)

Job Description

We are looking for a Safety Officer with 2 to 4 years of experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and client EHS requirements across project sites.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, statutory regulations, and client safety requirements.
Conduct safety induction programs and daily toolbox talks for employees and subcontractors.
Monitor the usage and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Implement and monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.
Carry out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA/JSA) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports.
Monitor excavation, lifting, confined space, work at height, electrical, and hot work activities for protected execution.
Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident registers,



training records, and statutory documentation.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives on safety matters.
Participate in internal and client safety audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
Promote a proactive safety culture across project sites.

Candidate Profile
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Engineering or any relevant discipline.
Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institution.
2 to 4 years of experience as a Safety Officer in civil construction, pipeline, UGSS, water supply, STP, or infrastructure projects.
Sound knowledge of construction safety practices, PTW, HIRA/JSA, PPE management, and accident investigation.
Valuable communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
Willing to travel and work at project sites across Tamil Nadu.
