A draftsman in the water treatment industry translates conceptual engineering ideas into detailed technical drawings. They create critical blueprints for Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), ensuring that process equipment and piping are safely and efficiently installed.
Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID;): Draft and update detailed P&IDs;, piping isometrics, and routing layouts, ensuring accurate pipe sizing and valve placement.
General Arrangement (GA) Drawings: Create detailed GA drawings and layouts for equipment positioning, skids, and plant infrastructure.
Fabrication & Structural Details: Develop accurate fabrication drawings for tanks, structural supports, and piping.
Engineering Coordination: Work closely with process, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineers to resolve clashes and incorporate redlines or design modifications.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all drafted plans adhere to local safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes.
As-Built Documentation: Update and finalize drawings post-construction to provide an accurate "as-built" record for project handovers.
