The Behaviour Technician (ABA) is responsible for implementing evidence-based intervention programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with autism and other developmental disabilities in a clinical setting.
Key responsibilities include:
Implement individualized Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs) under the guidance of a supervising clinician.
Deliver ABA therapy sessions to promote communication, language, social, adaptive, and functional skills.
Implement behaviour reduction strategies using positive, evidence-based ABA techniques.
Collect, record, and maintain accurate data on client progress and treatment outcomes.
Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, and caregivers to ensure consistency in intervention strategies.
Maintain skilled and ethical standards while providing high-quality client care.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Certification in ABAT (Applied Behavior Analysis Technician) or currently pursuing ABA certification is preferred.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or a related field.
Prior experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is an added advantage.
Robust communication, interpersonal, and observation skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team with a child-centered approach.
