Appian is hiring Senior Software Engineers (5+ Years Experience)

Work Location: Brigade World Trade Center, Perungudi, Chennai

What we're looking for:
5+ years of software engineering experience
Robust expertise in Java, Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design
Experience building distributed systems in cloud-native environments
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to AWS and modern database technologies
Experience with performance optimization and large-scale applications
Familiarity with AI tools and technologies such as Amazon Q, Claude, RAG, Agentic Workflows, and MCP is an added advantage
Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills

What you'll do:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable,



high-performance software systems
Drive architecture and technical design for enterprise-grade applications
Build internal developer tools and improve engineering productivity
Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and champion engineering best practices
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance
Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions
