Role & responsibilities
Manage the sourcing of articles to provide the required level of profitability and service to support fulfilment of our Sales and customer strategy.
Apply commercial acumen to determine appropriate response to enquiries.
Create and maintain accurate Sourcing article data in ERP & CRM
Drive improved and increased efficiency of our Sourcing processes
Develop solid vendor relationships and manage stakeholders to ensure integration with the business area.
Identify and develop recent Strategic Suppliers
Collaborate with Sales to interpret requirements and offer best possible solution and price from Suppliers
Ensure sales & technical support for RS sales team by working closely with manufacturers/suppliers
Identify and implement new Vendors / Strategic Suppliers to support product sourcing needs
Keep track of due shipments from suppliers & inform the operations/logistics & sales team regarding the delivery schedules & maintain proper communication with suppliers




Provide relevant insight, data, and input to the Management teams to enable and exploit Vendor commercial opportunities
Other tasks assigned by line managers.

Preferred candidate profile
Degree qualified in an Engineering, Management or similar discipline
Experience in working with Electrical/Electronics/Automation /T&M; requirements
Proven purchasing / procurement experience of >= 6 years.
Knowledge and experience of managing multiple/diverse sourcing requests
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Effective commercial and decision making skills
Knowledge of our external market place (customers, competitors & suppliers)
Knowledge and experience of Vendor management processes and practice.
To be able to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines, and work without close supervision
Fluent in English language
