Role & responsibilities
Carry out troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and maintenance of marine diesel engines.
Perform installation and commissioning of propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on engines, gearboxes, shafting systems, and propulsion equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control system faults.
Perform alignment, calibration, performance testing, and sea trials.
Prepare service reports and recommend corrective actions.

Medium-speed and high-speed marine diesel engines
Main propulsion engines
Auxiliary generator engines
Marine gearboxes and reduction gears
CPP (Controllable Pitch Propeller) systems
Fixed Pitch Propeller (FPP) systems
Tunnel and azimuth thrusters
Stern tube and shaft line systems
Engine governors and control systems
Fuel injection systems
Turbochargers
Cooling, lubrication, and fuel systems
Marine automation and monitoring systems
