Role & responsibilities
Manage and develop relationships with assigned key import clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Handle end-to-end import customs clearance operations in compliance with Customs regulations and company SOPs.
Scrutinize and process import documentation, including Bill of Entry (BOE), Bill of Lading (BL), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Delivery Order (DO), and other statutory documents.
Coordinate with Customs authorities, shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, transporters, CFS/ICD, and internal departments to ensure timely cargo clearance.
Ensure accurate EDI filing and compliance with Customs procedures.
Interpret and apply EXIM Policy, DGFT regulations, Customs Tariff, and HS Code classifications for import shipments.
Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to clients regarding clearance progress and delivery timelines.
Resolve operational issues,



customs queries, detention/demurrage matters, and customer escalations efficiently.
Prepare and maintain Daily Status Reports (DSR), MIS reports, KPI dashboards, and operational records.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, documentation standards, and internal quality processes.
Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
5 7 years of experience in Customs Clearance, CHA Operations, Import Documentation, Logistics, or Key Account Management.
Prior experience with a Customs House Agent (CHA), freight forwarding company, or logistics organization is preferred.
