Counsel individuals and groupson basic rules of positive nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutritionmonitoring to improve their quality of life

Monitor food service operationsto ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards

Coordinate recipe developmentand standardization and develop recent menus for independent food serviceoperations

Develop policies for foodservice or nutritional programs to assist in health promotion and diseasecontrol

Inspect meals served forconformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance





Develop curriculum and preparemanuals, visual aids, course outlines, and other materials used in teaching

Select, train and superviseworkers who plan, prepare and serve meals

Advise food service managersand organizations on sanitation, safety procedures, menu development andplanning to assist with the establishment, operation, and evaluation of foodservice facilities and nutrition programs

Organize, develop, analyze,test, and prepare special meals such as low-fat, low-cholesterol andchemical-free meals

Any other work assigned by themanagement from time to time.
