Kalawati Steels Retail Chain is a steel and building-material retail business in Varanasi, moving onto a full custom ERP with weighbridge integration, gate control and automated GST filing, synced into Tally Prime. We are looking for an accountant who will own the books end to end and become the in-house owner of the current system. This is not a voucher-entry job. The system posts the entries; you make sure they are right.

What you will own
Daily cash and bank reconciliation, and the day close the day does not close until cash and UPI tally - Verification of payments before dispatch; GRN matched against supplier invoice and PO - GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, and the GSTR-2B reconciliation that decides how much input credit reaches us - Chasing suppliers who have not filed; reporting input credit at risk with names against it - e-Invoice, e-Way bill and TDS compliance - Bill-by-bill receivables ageing and a monthly profit statement to the owner, unprompted - Being the person who knows the current ERP better than anyone else in the office What we need:




B.Com or above; 2–5 years in trading/distribution — steel, cement, hardware or building material preferred - Tally Prime daily, beyond voucher level - You have PERSONALLY filed GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B and PERSONALLY done a GSTR-2B reconciliation — not assisted, not watched the CA do it - Excel at lookup and pivot level; quick with current software - Based in Varanasi or genuinely ready to move How we select: shortlisted candidates do a one-hour practical test on a live computer before any salary discussion — a GSTR-2B reconciliation with planted errors, two Tally entries, and one exercise on software you have not used before. If you actually do this work, the test will be easy.
