Role Description This is a full-time, in office Barista role based at Planet Cafe Bistro in Surat. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as light food items in accordance with company recipes and quality standards. Daily tasks include taking orders, operating coffee equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and handling cash or digital payments accurately.

The role involves engaging with guests, answering product questions, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The Barista also supports stock replenishment,



basic equipment maintenance, and compliance with food safety and hygiene guidelines.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to interact professionally and courteously with guests and team members.

Barista skills, including operating coffee machines, preparing espresso-based drinks, and following beverage recipes consistently.

Clear communication skills for taking orders, explaining menu items, and coordinating with colleagues.

Food preparation skills with attention to hygiene, portion control, and presentation.

Ability to work on-site in Surat, stand for extended periods, and handle a rapid-paced café workplace.

Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills; familiarity with point-of-sale systems is an advantage.

Prior experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
