Job Summary

TMU Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Blood Bank & Central Lab Technician to support laboratory operations by performing diagnostic tests, handling blood samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The candidate will play a vital role in delivering accurate laboratory services that support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities
Collect, label, and process patient specimens for laboratory testing.
Perform routine haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology investigations.
Conduct blood grouping, cross-matching, and blood component preparation.
Maintain blood bank inventory and ensure proper storage of blood and blood products.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
Record and report test results accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
Follow infection control protocols, biomedical waste management, and NABH/NABL guidelines.




Assist pathologists and physicians with laboratory procedures when required.
Maintain laboratory documentation and quality control records.

Requirements
Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a hospital laboratory or blood bank.
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and diagnostic procedures.
Familiarity with blood banking protocols and laboratory quality standards.
Valuable communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
Ability to work in rotational shifts when required.
