Santriya Technologies is seeking an experienced Commercial Technology Solicitor with UK and/or US legal experience to provide advisory support across technology contracts, SaaS agreements, software licensing, cloud services, AI governance, digital transformation projects, and data protection matters.
About the Role: This is a adaptable, part-time or consultancy engagement suitable for qualified solicitors who wish to advise international technology, financial services, and digital sector clients while maintaining work-life balance.
The role can be structured as a retainer, day-rate, or project-based assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial technology contracts, SaaS agreements, software licensing deals, and cloud services agreements
Advise on AI governance frameworks, responsible AI obligations, and compliance with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
Support technology procurement exercises, vendor due diligence, and outsourcing arrangements
Provide legal guidance on digital transformation programmes, agile delivery, and technology platform transitions
Advise on intellectual property rights, data ownership,
and software escrow arrangements
Review and negotiate master services agreements (MSAs), statements of work, and service level agreements
Conduct legal risk assessments on emerging technology initiatives including GenAI, cloud migration, and API integration projects
Support in-house legal teams and C-suite executives with commercial legal guidance on technology matters
Stay current with developments in UK and EU technology law, AI regulation, and digital compliance requirements
Mentor junior legal specialists and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the practice What We Are Looking For:
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with robust commercial technology law expertise
Experience at a leading law firm or in-house technology or financial services legal team
Deep knowledge of SaaS, cloud, AI, and data protection legal frameworks
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client advisory skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
