POSITION: Head of Procurement Sofa Division

Position Overview :

The Purchase Head for the Sofa Division will be responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement strategy for all raw materials, components, and goods required for sofa and upholstered furniture manufacturing. This role involves sourcing high-quality materialssuch as timber, foam, fabrics, leather, mechanisms, and hardwarewhile optimizing costs, ensuring supply chain resilience, and maintaining strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and local suppliers for key sofa components (e.g., framing wood, premium upholstery fabrics, high-density foams, and recline mechanisms).
Negotiate long-term contracts, pricing, payment terms, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to maximize cost-efficiency.
Conduct regular vendor audits and performance evaluations based on quality, delivery timelines, and compliance





• Inventory & Material Planning:
Collaborate with Production, Design, and Sales teams to forecast material requirements and prevent production bottlenecks or overstocking.
Implement effective inventory management practices (e.g., Just-In-Time) to optimize warehouse space and cash flow.
Cost Optimization & Budgeting:
Develop and manage the annual procurement budget for the Sofa Division.
Analyze market trends, commodity price fluctuations (e.g., timber and chemical costs for foam), and currency risks to mitigate financial impact.

• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure all procured materials comply with industry safety standards (e.g., fireretardant fabric certifications, sustainable wood sourcing like FSC).
Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to resolve any material defects or supplier rejections swiftly
