Seeking 5 to 10 year experience Embedded FW Developer to work on PCIe Controllers. Candidate should have strong knowledge and experience with all aspects of Embedded FW development – including Definition, Design, Implementation, Verification, and Troubleshooting. As a Firmware Engineer, based in Bangalore, and reporting to the manager of Firmware Development, you will be part of the Firmware Controllers development team.
About the Role
As a Firmware engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
Design and development of core firmware components for the controllers from Microchip
Work closely with Application team to support and resolve customer issues
Participate in detailed design and code reviews of implementations by team
Design and development of automated unit test scripts
Work in collaboration with other Microchip sites to design solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex firmware problems in embedded real-time systems
Write comprehensive engineering documentation
Qualifications
The candidate must have good experience of Embedded C programming language
The candidate must have positive knowledge of RTOS concepts and very positive understanding of microcontrollers
5+ years of experience in C programming
Experience in storage protocol and PCIe protocol
Knowledge of NAND and SSD technology
Knowledge of Protocol analyzers, exercisers, and Logic analyzers
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
Knowledge of programming scripting languages like Groovy/Python/Perl is a plus
Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid interpersonal skills
Required Skills Embedded C programming, RTOS concepts, microcontrollers, storage protocol, PCIe protocol, NAND and SSD technology, Protocol analyzers, scripting languages (Groovy/Python/Perl).
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of programming scripting languages like Groovy/Python/Perl is a plus.
