Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Assistant HOD to lead mechanical maintenance activities in a manufacturing workplace. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in coke oven operations and solid expertise in machine and conveyor maintenance, ensuring maximum equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, rotating equipment, and production machinery.




Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of coke oven-related equipment.
Plan maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and improve plant efficiency.
Lead and guide the maintenance team while ensuring safety and quality standards.
Coordinate with production and other departments for effective maintenance planning.

Requirements
B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 9 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
Hands-on experience in coke oven plants is mandatory.
Strong expertise in machine maintenance and conveyor maintenance.
Valuable troubleshooting, leadership, and team management skills.
Willing to work in Kharagpur.
