Analyze inventory data, sales forecasts, and market trends to accurately estimate future product requirements.
Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and data reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of stock records.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to coordinate shipment and delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies.
Oversee the training and daily activities of inventory staff to ensure compliance with all control procedures.
Manage the disposition of surplus, obsolete, or expired inventory through designated channels to minimize financial loss.
Generate and present detailed reports on inventory metrics, such as turnover rates, stock levels, and adjustment variances, to management.
Assure compliance with all state and federal guidelines associated with the management of specific types of inventory.
Evaluate the efficiency of inventory control procedures and propose strategic adjustments to reduce costs and improve supply chain logistics.
