Negotiate freight rates and commercial terms with transporters to optimise logistics costs. Coordinate with transporters for vehicle availability and dispatch planning. Ensure timely placement of vehicles at the warehouse as per dispatch schedules.
Schedule and monitor timely pickup of materials from the warehouse. Book cargo with transporters and follow up to ensure adherence to shipment schedules. Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or transportation issues.
Coordinate with the Warehouse, Sales, Purchase, and Accounts teams for smooth dispatch operations. Ensure all transport-related documents are complete and accurately maintained. Develop and maintain solid relationships with transporters and logistics partners.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable transportation regulations.
