About the Role

Inland Hospital is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Consultant Microbiologist to lead the Microbiology Laboratory and support high-quality diagnostic services. The successful candidate will oversee microbiological testing, guide antimicrobial stewardship, strengthen infection prevention and control practices, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and report microbiological investigations, including bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, virology, and serology.
Interpret culture and sensitivity reports and provide timely clinical advice to treating physicians.
Lead the hospital's Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program and monitor healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
Develop and implement antimicrobial stewardship initiatives in collaboration with clinicians and pharmacists.
Ensure quality assurance, quality control,



and compliance with NABL/NABH and other applicable regulatory standards.
Validate laboratory results and maintain accuracy, reliability, and turnaround times.
Oversee laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, biosafety practices, and inventory management.
Train, supervise, and mentor laboratory technologists and technical staff.
Participate in infection control committee meetings, clinical audits, CMEs, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain laboratory documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and statutory records.

Qualifications
MBBS with MD/DNB in Microbiology from a recognized institution.
Valid National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council registration.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
