Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This role involves designing and developing conveyors, SPMs, and automation systems to meet customer specifications and performance requirements. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed 3D and 2D CAD models, preparing engineering drawings, and supporting prototype development and testing.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs, address manufacturing constraints, and ensure cost-effective, reliable solutions.





Responsibilities also include reviewing customer requirements, performing basic engineering calculations, updating documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in design standards and processes.

Qualifications

Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world industrial applications.

Proficiency in Machine Design and Product Design, including designing mechanical components and assemblies for conveyors, SPMs, and automation systems.

Hands-on experience with solidworks tools for creating 3D models and 2D drawings suitable for manufacturing and assembly.

Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and customer requirements.

Valuable communication and collaboration skills for working with production, sales, and service teams.

Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to work on the shop floor when required.

Prior experience in conveyor, SPM, or automation projects is an advantage.
