The role is responsible to support revenue collection, maintaining collection MIS, following up on overdue accounts and supporting regulatory and statutory compliance related to revenue collection - for maximizing collection efficiency, minimizing outstanding receivables, improving collection processes, and supporting initiatives to reduce commercial losses while maintaining high levels of customer service.

Role & responsibilities
Collection Operations
Support monthly electricity bill collection activities.
Monitor daily collections from all payment channels by tracking realization of online, offline, and third-party collections and reconcile collections with Finance.
Outstanding Recovery
Prepare consumer-wise outstanding reports and identify overdue consumers based on ageing analysis.
Coordinate with field collection teams, support issuance of demand notices and disconnection lists and follow up on high-value defaulters.
Consumer Coordination
Support in resolving billing and collection-related issues and assist in settlement of disputed bills.
Coordinate with Customer Service Centers and monitor payment confirmations.
Regulatory Compliance
Maintain collection records as required by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Support reporting related to collection efficiency.




Ensure compliance with The Electricity Act, Supply Code, and company SOPs.
Assist during internal and statutory audits.
Coordination
Coordinate with various departments (Billing Team, Metering Team, Finance, IT, Customer Care, Field Collection Agencies, etc.) to ensure timely collection of dues.
Data Management
Maintain consumer payment database, validate collection entries, and update collection status.
Monitor payment gateway reconciliation.
MIS & Reporting
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly collection MIS (SBU-wise) and management dashboards
Monitor recovery percentage.
Process Improvement
Identify gaps in the collection process and recommend automation initiatives to improve collection efficiency.
Support digital payment adoption.

Preferred candidate profile
Knowledge of the billing process, Collection Process, Revenue Cycle, and Consumer Services
Experience in collection reconciliation, commercial operations, consumer database management, and collection analytics.
Hands-on experience in MS Excel (Advanced), ERP, SAP, Billing Software, MS Office.
High on Customer Orientation
High on Integrity
Conversant in English, Hindi & Bengali.
