Job Responsibilities:-
Organize and plan an effective purchasing function.
Responsible for timely procurement of all materials, products and services required for the production and ensure no line stoppages.
Forecast price change activity by monitoring international and national metal trading rates.
Create a competitive atmosphere for purchase of materials and services so as to get the best price.
Keep management informed of current market trends related to material availability, cost, current materials and vendors.
To create and maintain a data base of suppliers, material, pricing, bid prices etc. for the support of Business Decision Making
Vendor selection, Development & Monitoring.
Price /Contract terms finalization.
Should have exposure to product costing and abilty to read drawings.
Adhere to purchase principles and legal / taxation requirements.
Manage departmental goals and objectives e.g. cost reduction targets, optimal inventory management.




Establish just in time” programs in line with management directions.

Skills/Knowledge desired
Should have done at least 4 years of Vendor development and is preffered.
Knowledge of the industry from the viewpoint of Procurement and Vendor Development is necessary.
Should have exposure to current trends in vendor development , sourcing , platforms and technology related to Procurement and Supply Chain
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build sound relationships , Ability to get work done from Supplier , Team and other departments
Ability to work under intense pressure. Sound temperament.
Proactive in nature , should seek and analysis opportunities
Working knowledge Of Computer , proficiency in MS Office Must
Robust Communication - Verbal as well as Written
Solid Negotiation & Contract management Skills
