Role & responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
Manage procurement of raw materials, consumables, machinery, and other operational requirements.
Coordinate with the Production, Stores, Planning, and Finance departments to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock.
Develop and maintain robust relationships with suppliers and conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
Track market trends and material prices, and identify prospects for cost reduction.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supplier-related issues.
Maintain procurement records, purchase documentation, and MIS reports.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
Proficiency in Focus software is required.
