Senior QA Automation Engineer (SDET)

Were looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer - a developer at heart - to own test automation for our cloud-based healthcare SaaS platform. You bring 5+ years building software and automated tests, deep hands-on Playwright expertise, and the judgment to set the quality bar across a Scrum team. This is a coding-heavy role: youll design frameworks, write robust automated suites, and use AI-assisted development and prompt engineering as part of your daily toolkit.

What youll do
Design, build, and maintain scalable Playwright automation frameworks and suites across UI and API.
Own test strategy and planning - decide what to automate, define coverage, and turn requirements into test cases.
Write clean, maintainable test code and contribute to overall code quality as an embedded engineer in a Scrum team.
Build and extend API test automation using Postman, Rest Assured, and Playwright.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them rapid, reliable, and low-flake.
Apply Generative AI and prompt engineering to accelerate test creation, maintenance, and failure analysis.
Partner with developers and product owners to shift quality left, and mentor junior QA engineers.

What youll bring




Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years in software development or testing, with 2.5+ years hands-on writing automated tests.
Proven, hands-on expertise writing Playwright automated tests - this is the primary focus.
Developer-level coding ability and solid software engineering fundamentals.
Skilled at creating test plans and identifying the right candidates for automation.
Solid command of testing methodologies - unit, integration, system, and acceptance.
API testing experience with Postman, Rest Assured, Playwright, or equivalent.
Experience collaborating with developers and product owners in a Scrum team.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI and solid prompt-engineering skills - required.

Nice to have
Testing cloud-based SaaS applications and microservices architectures.
CI/CD and tooling experience - JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket (or other Git server), and Jenkins.
