We are seeking a highly skilled Senior VAT Tax Analyst to join our Shared Finance Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions, managing indirect tax reporting, supporting audits, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure tax risk management and efficiency.
VAT Compliance, Accounting & Reporting
Support with Data to prepare VAT returns, and Intrastat returns for multiple entities and countries.
Ensure compliance with local VAT regulations and internal controls.
Posting re-class and adjustment journal entries during Month end to ensure correct positions are stated in Financial Statement
Performing regular reconciliations of VAT GL balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding items.
Process Optimization
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements in VAT reporting and compliance.
Support the automation and digitalization of indirect tax processes within ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Audit & Documentation
Support VAT audits and inquiries by preparing required documentation and coordinating responses.
Maintain proper documentation for VAT positions, processes, and internal policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Local Finance and Tax teams to ensure VAT accuracy and alignment.
Serve as a key point of contact between GBS, Local Finance and Tax Team.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of VAT/indirect tax experience, preferably in a multinational or Shared Services setting.
Preferable Solid knowledge of EU VAT rules and familiarity with global indirect tax regulations.
Ability to interact and manage multiple stakeholders across the globe.
Detail-oriented with robust analytical and organizational skills.
Operating knowledge of Accounting Software or ERP (preferably SAP).
Experience working in a shared services centre or global tax team.
