Software QA Intern – Manual & Mobile Automation Testing

Stipend: 20k/month At Janitri, we are building innovative health tech solutions to protect mothers and newborns during the critical 1,000-day journey — from pregnancy to a child’s second birthday. We’re looking for a QA Engineer Intern with robust manual testing fundamentals and hands-on exposure to mobile automation to join our Quality Assurance team. Key Responsibilities

Design, write, and execute manual test cases (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory) for web and mobile apps.

Build and maintain automated test scripts using Java + Selenium WebDriver (web) and Appium (Android mobile).

Perform API testing with Postman — validating payloads, status codes, and correctness.

Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data integrity.

Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members during sprints and releases.

Maintain structured test documentation (plans, cases, traceability).

Participate in root-cause analysis of production issues and improve QA processes.





Required Skills & Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.

Strong programming fundamentals in Java.

Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.

Working knowledge of Appium for Android/iOS automation.

Practical experience with SQL for data validation.

API testing experience using Postman.

Solid understanding of QA fundamentals (STLC, defect lifecycle, test case design).

Good communication skills and ability to work in agile/scrum environments. Positive to Have

Experience with TestNG framework.

Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
