Venpa Staffing Services is on the lookout for a dedicated Underwriter to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This full-time, in office position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 6 months to 9 years of experience in underwriting and income processing within the Outsourcing/Offshoring industry.

As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in evaluating risk and determining the terms of insurance policies. Your expertise will directly contribute to our goal of delivering exceptional service and support to our clients. You will work closely with various teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in underwriting processes, making this a pivotal position within our organization.

Responsibilities
Review and analyze applications for insurance coverage
Assess risk factors and determine appropriate underwriting guidelines




Make informed decisions on policy approvals and conditions
Collaborate with sales and client management teams to facilitate smooth processes
Provide expert advice on underwriting practices and standards
Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Continuously monitor and evaluate underwriting outcomes to improve processes

Requirements
6 months to 9 years of underwriting experience
Robust analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in underwriting software and tools
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry
Relevant certification in underwriting is a plus
