Position Overview

BD Industries is looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance / Tool Room Engineer to join our manufacturing team at our Hoshiarpur plant. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in mould maintenance, tool room operations, and breakdown troubleshooting, ensuring smooth production and maximum equipment efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of moulds and tooling.
Perform mould maintenance, repair, and tool correction to ensure optimal performance.
Execute aluminium welding for mould repair and restoration.
Diagnose and resolve tooling and mould-related issues to minimize production downtime.
Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance activities for moulds and tool room equipment.
Maintain and service tool room equipment as per maintenance schedules.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely availability of moulds.
Maintain maintenance records, repair history, and preventive maintenance checklists.




Ensure adherence to safety standards and valuable housekeeping practices within the tool room.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mould life, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience in mould maintenance and repair .
Robust knowledge of tool correction and tool room operations .
Experience in aluminium welding for mould maintenance.
Expertise in breakdown troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Good understanding of engineering drawings and measuring instruments.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Relevant experience in maintenance, tool room, or mould maintenance within a manufacturing workplace.

Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with experience in plastic injection moulding , automotive, or engineering manufacturing industries will be preferred.
