Job Title: Sales Manager (Retail)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a result-driven Sales Manager to own top-line sales for the store/region. You will lead the team to achieve retail sales targets and ensure daily top-line follow-up for consistent growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Retail Sales Target Achievement

Own and deliver monthly/quarterly top-line sales targets for store/category

Break down targets to daily, weekly, team-member level and drive execution

Monitor key metrics: footfall, conversion, ASP, basket size, Store Sales Growth.

Identify sales gaps early and deploy tactics to bridge them
Top Line Follow-up

Conduct daily morning huddles to review previous day Sales vs Target

Track hourly sales trends and push team during peak/off-peak hours

Follow up with category heads/buyers on stock availability for rapid movers

Send daily sales flash reports to senior management by EOD
Team & Floor Management

Train, coach,



and motivate floor staff to improve selling skills

Manage staff roster, incentives, and performance reviews

Ensure VM, planogram, and promotion execution as per guidelines
Customer & Operations

Handle customer escalations and drive repeat purchase

Coordinate with marketing for local events/offers to boost sales

Control shrinkage and ensure SOP compliance
Reporting & Analytics

Maintain daily sales tracker in Excel with variance analysis

Use Pivot Tables, charts, VLOOKUP for weekly MIS

Forecast weekly/monthly sales based on trends and festival calendar

Requirements:

Education: Any Graduate; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred

Experience: 3+ years in retail sales,

Skills: POS software, Advanced Excel, robust number orientation

Soft Skills: Target-obsessed, leadership, high energy, customer-first

Work mode: In-person
