We are seeking an experienced Principal Compiler Engineer to lead the development of the system software stack bridging custom silicon and high-performance applications. This role focuses on compiler infrastructure, embedded firmware, Linux kernel optimization, and real-time signal processing with sub-millisecond latency requirements.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience delivering production-grade LLVM compiler pipelines within semiconductor organizations, embedded system bring-up, and formal verification for safety-critical real-time systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop custom LLVM backend passes, including SelectionDAG, GlobalISel, MIR optimizations, and register allocator enhancements.
Build compiler fuzzing infrastructure and formal verification frameworks using Alive2, SMT/SAT solvers, and differential testing to ensure compiler correctness.
Develop embedded device drivers and communication protocol stacks including:
Work with Linux Kernel, RT-PREEMPT, SCHED_FIFO, kernel modules, and deterministic real-time scheduling.
Optimize applications across CPU and GPU architectures using profiling and debugging tools
Author Software Requirements Documents (SRDs) and Software Design Documents (SDDs).
Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
Collaborate with hardware teams during silicon bring-up, BSP development, and pre tape-out activities.
