Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Assistant supports sonographers and radiologists by preparing patients, maintaining examination rooms and equipment, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring productive patient flow within the imaging department.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and assist patients before and after ultrasound examinations.
Support sonographers during procedures as required.
Clean, stock, and maintain ultrasound rooms and equipment.
Schedule appointments and update patient records.
Ensure patient comfort, safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
Follow infection control, health, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or B.Sc. Nursing required.
Registration with the relevant Nursing Council preferred.
Previous experience in a diagnostic imaging, radiology, or healthcare setting is an advantage.
