Design: Sketching designs, using computer-aided design (CAD) programs, and creating moodboards
Research: Studying fashion trends and keeping up with general trends in fabrics, colors, and shapes
Selection: Choosing fabrics, embellishments, colors, or a style for each garment or accessory
Development: Planning and developing ranges, often based on a theme
Marketing: Showcasing designs at fashion and other trade shows, and working with models to try out designs
