-Overview: dispatching and managing drivers for Canadian/US freight lanes for Translink, a Canadian trucking company
-Shift schedule, days per week, and office location
-Compensation: base salary + uncapped commission (explain what commission is based on — loads booked, margin, etc.)
Key responsibilities to list:
Book loads via load boards (DAT, Truckstop, LoadLink) and direct customers/brokers
Assign loads to drivers and plan routes/schedules
Track trucks and provide shipment updates to brokers and customers
Negotiate rates with brokers
Handle paperwork: rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, border-crossing docs (ACE/ACI if applicable)
Monitor ELD/HOS compliance and coordinate with drivers on hours of service
Resolve delays, breakdowns, and detention issues; escalate as needed
Requirements :
MANDATORY: Minimum 1–2 years of dispatch experience with a US/Canada trucking company — freshers will not be considered
Knowledge of FTL/LTL and the equipment we run (dry van/reefer/flatbed)
Familiarity with load boards and TMS/dispatch software (name ours if applicable)
Basic knowledge of Canadian/US geography and freight lanes
Robust communication and multitasking under pressure
