Head of Commercial Fleet & Logistics Business

Role Overview

Our client seeking a highly capable commercial leader to establish and manage the commercial backbone of a current fleet and logistics business. The role will oversee procurement, vehicle onboarding, vendor management, RTO coordination, insurance, permits, compliance, commercial negotiations, and all operational commercial activities related to fleet setup and management.

The ideal candidate should have solid understanding of commercial operations within transportation or fleet-based businesses and should be comfortable building systems and processes from the ground level.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all commercial activities related to fleet and transportation operations
Manage vehicle procurement coordination, registration, permits, insurance, and statutory documentation
Handle RTO-related activities and ensure regulatory compliance
Develop and manage vendor ecosystem for fleet operations and support services
Negotiate commercial contracts, rates, and service agreements
Establish procurement and commercial SOPs, controls,



and governance mechanisms
Drive cost optimisation initiatives across commercial functions
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and finance teams for seamless execution
Ensure timely renewals, documentation tracking, and compliance management
Build scalable commercial processes aligned with business growth
Monitor commercial risks and implement mitigation frameworks

Candidate Profile
15+ years of experience in commercial functions within logistics, transportation, fleet management, or related industries
Robust exposure to vehicle procurement, fleet documentation, permits, RTO processes, and compliance
Experience in setting up commercial frameworks and vendor ecosystems from scratch preferred
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in dynamic and evolving business settings
Hands-on approach with strong execution orientation
