Senior Associate - Indirect Tax

Location: Mumbai

Qualification: Lawyer / Chartered Accountant

Experience: 3 - 6 years (Indirect Tax & Customs - Advisory & Litigation)

Major Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead research and analysis on Indirect Tax / GST databases with robust technical depth and accuracy.
Interpret case laws, analyse regulatory developments, and advise on their implications for complex client matters.
Demonstrate advanced drafting skills and independently prepare opinions, submissions, and litigation documents (most critical).
Mentor junior team members, review their work, and guide them on technical and procedural aspects.
Prepare comprehensive updates on sectoral trends, amendments, and judicial precedents for internal and client circulation.
Drive quick, in-depth research to support advisory, compliance, and litigation assignments.




Contribute to business development initiatives including proposal preparation, client pitches, knowledge papers, and strengthening client relationships.

Required Skill Sets:
Solid expertise in Indirect Tax Laws including Tax Restructuring, Advisory & Consulting, GST, Foreign Trade Policy, and Customs Law.
Ability to independently handle appeals, writ petitions, drafting of opinions, replies to SCNs, appeals, writs, SLPs, and brief counsels & senior counsels.
Capability to oversee multiple matters simultaneously while ensuring technical quality and timely outputs.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
