Job Profile: Progressive Tool Designer (Sheet Metal Precision Components)

Key Responsibilities
Develop strip layouts for progressive dies.
Design blanking, piercing, bending, embossing, and forming tools.
Select suitable tool steel and standard die components.
Coordinate with production, quality, and CNC machining teams during tool manufacturing and trials.
Analyze tooling issues and implement design improvements.
Optimize tooling for cost, quality, and production efficiency.
Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Ensure compliance with GD&T;, tolerance requirements, and customer specifications.

Required Skills
Robust knowledge of sheet metal forming processes.
Experience in progressive die design.




Understanding of press operations and tool maintenance.
Proficiency in progressive tool design & prooving the parts
Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Educational Qualification
Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering (NTTF), or Product Engineering.
Tool & Die certification is an added advantage.

Experience
Mid-Level: 3–7 years

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
