Job description (heading) / Description du poste (titre) Line 1B Officer in Agency Distribution is responsible for supporting the distribution channel in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and controlling risks arising from day-to-day agency operations. The role ensures that the Agency channel operates in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks while maintaining business performance

Preferred skills
Knowledge of Regulation related to life insurance companies
Report writing skill (in English)
Verbal and Written English
Ability to operate Microsoft excel (Including pivot),

Presentation skill
Strong understanding of agency distribution processes, sales practices, and customer journey.
Good knowledge of operational risk, conduct risk, and compliance requirements.
Analytical and detail-oriented; able to identify patterns and risk indicators.
Good communication skills for interacting with Agency Leaders and field teams.
Ability to balance business needs with compliance and risk management.
Understanding internal control and concept of 3 lines of defence

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in distribution risk, sales governance, compliance, or audit (preferably in insurance or financial services).
Familiarity with local insurance regulations (POJK, AAJI/AAUI standards) is an advantage

Responsibilities
A. Risk Identification & Assessment
Conduct regular reviews of agency sales practices, documentation, and operational processes to identify potential risks.
Perform risk assessments for new agency initiatives, campaigns, and product launches.
Support the business in understanding risk exposures (conduct risk, operational risk, mis-selling risk, AML/CFT risk).

Risk Monitoring & Control
Implement and monitor risk controls for agency operations (e.g., sales quality checks, call-back verification, suitability assessments).
Track key risk indicators (KRIs) and prepare periodic risk dashboards for management.
Follow up on risk issues, audit findings, and incident reports to ensure timely closure.
C. Compliance & Regulatory Support
Ensure agency activities comply with company policies, POJK/regulatory rules, and distribution standards.
Support distribution in understanding and implementing regulatory changes.
Conduct thematic reviews on potential non-compliance areas (e.g., mis-selling, incomplete documentation, privacy breach).
D. Training & Awareness
Provide training to Agency Leaders and agents regarding conduct risk, sales governance, and compliant selling practices.
Develop guidance materials, SOP updates, and risk-related communication.
E. Incident & Complaint Handling
Support the documentation, escalation, and root-cause analysis of incidents or customer complaints related to agency sales.
Coordinate with customer service, compliance, and distribution to ensure resolution and preventive measures.
F. Governance, Reporting & Documentation
Maintain proper documentation for risk assessments, control testing, and review results.
Prepare monthly/quarterly governance reports for senior management and risk committees.
Participate in governance forums and contribute risk insights for decision making
