and industry standardsRequired Skills- Robust knowledge of neurological diseases and procedures.- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.- Ability to interpret physician documentation and code accurately in both ICDs and CPTs.- Effective communication skills for provider queries.- Understanding of healthcare compliance and reimbursement methodologies.- Proficiency in coding software and MS Office applications.Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze neurology patient records, physician notes, operative reports, diagnostic reports and code accurately as per the documentation.- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, CPT procedure codes, and HCPCS codes, modifiers, and units .- Should be aware of LCD, MUE, and all the conventions of CPTs and ICDs.- Should be aware of neurology-specific procedures- Maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards.- Participate in coding audits and quality reviews.- Stay updated on coding guideline changes and neurology-related reimbursement policies.
