We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and expand the academic business for Ansys solutions. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, strengthening relationships with educational institutions, and promoting simulation-driven learning across the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales strategy and revenue generation for ANSYS academic products across the region.
- Develop and manage relationships with universities, engineering colleges, and research institutions.
- Identify recent business opportunities and expand market penetration in the academic segment.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle: lead generation, presentations, negotiations, and closures.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver product demos, workshops, and academic programs.
- Build partnerships with faculty, HODs, and decision-makers in institutions.
- Forecast sales targets, track pipeline, and ensure timely reporting.
- Participate in academic events, seminars, and industry conferences.
- Lead and mentor a regional sales team (if applicable).
Key Requirements:
- 8–10 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the software/technology/education domain.
- Strong exposure to academic or institutional sales is highly preferred.
- Understanding of engineering simulation tools or exposure to Ansys products is an advantage.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil preferred).
- MBA in Sales/Marketing is a plus.
