Role Overview

As an SDE 1 Full Stack Engineer on the Platform Team, you will build scalable, loosely coupled services and bulletproof API integrations that power Fynd's AI-native unified commerce platform. You will own end-to-end features and infrastructure on AWS, improve availability and performance for large-scale consumer and multi-tenant SaaS products, and contribute to open-source and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement full-stack features using React on the frontend and Node.js/NestJS on the backend, delivering performant, maintainable code.
- Build and maintain robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations with strong error handling and observability.
- Develop scalable microservices and event-driven components with PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Redis backing stores, ensuring data integrity and low latency.
- Drive infrastructure and reliability improvements on AWS, own deployment pipelines, monitoring, incident response and SLA-driven operations.
- Optimize web performance and front-end user experience across consumer-facing web and mobile web products.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA and other engineering teams to define APIs, data contracts, and long-term platform roadmaps.
- Write comprehensive tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain high standards for security,



performance and documentation.
- Contribute to open-source initiatives, mentor peers, and adapt to changing priorities in a quick-growing startup expanding across GCC, Africa and Southeast Asia.

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional full-stack engineering experience building consumer-facing web/apps and SaaS products
- Proven experience with React.js on the frontend and Node.js (Express/NestJS) on the backend
- Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL, and building robust API integrations/webhooks
- Practical experience operating applications on AWS and familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring and incident response
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and performance optimization (caching, Redis)

Preferred

- Experience working on multi-tenant SaaS or enterprise B2B platforms
- Prior contributions to open-source projects or public engineering blogs/repos
- Experience with event-driven architectures, message brokers (Kafka, SNS/SQS) and async processing
- Familiarity with NestJS and advanced backend patterns (domain-driven design, hexagonal architecture)
- Experience building and scaling products for international markets or distributed/global deployments
