We're hiring: HR & Recruitment Administrator — India
Location: India (QMet Shared Service Center) · Employment type: Full-time
About QMet
QMet is a global consulting firm helping organizations navigate Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity Consultancy, Security Integration, and capability building through our Training Academy. We work with clients across multiple countries, pairing local, in-country delivery teams with a centralized operations hub in India that powers what happens behind the scenes.
We're growing that India hub — and this is the first hire who will help build it.
The opportunity
We're looking for an HR & Recruitment Lead to become the founding member of our India team. You won't be joining an existing HR department — you'll be building one. This is a rare chance to shape how a growing international consulting firm structures, hires, and supports its people from the ground up.
What you'll do
- Assess how our current team is structured across different locations and functions, and help design how our India-based support team should come together
- Lead full-cycle recruitment — sourcing, interviewing, offers, onboarding — as we build out the India team across functions ranging from business development support to project support to technical delivery
- Design HR policies, onboarding processes, and employee documentation suited to a growing India-based team supporting an international business
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor law and statutory requirements (PF, ESI,
and related obligations)
- Partner closely with senior leadership to set hiring priorities and track progress
- Be the first point of contact for employee support as the India team grows
What we're looking for
- 4–7 years of HR/recruitment experience, ideally including experience building or scaling a team from an early stage (startup, shared services, or similar)
- Experience recruiting for technical or consulting talent is a solid plus
- Solid understanding of Indian labor law and statutory compliance
- Comfort with ambiguity and ownership — you'll be building processes that don't exist yet
- Strong communication skills; you'll coordinate regularly with leadership based outside India
- A bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
- What we offer
- The chance to build a function — and a team — from scratch, with real influence over how it's shaped
- Exposure to a genuinely international business
Competitive compensation
- Competitive salary based on experience and skillset
- Annual performance bonus / incentives
- Medical insurance for employee (and family, if applicable)
- Paid time off including annual leave, sick leave, and public holidays
- Career growth and internal promotion opportunities
