Duct Fitter – Roles & Responsibilities

- Read and interpret HVAC drawings, blueprints, and layout plans.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install air duct systems according to project specifications.
- Install GI ducts, MS ducts, flexible ducts, dampers, diffusers, grilles, and other HVAC components.
- Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and support of ductwork to prevent air leakage.
- Perform insulation work on ducts as required.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect installed duct systems for quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards.
- Repair, modify, or replace damaged duct sections when required.
- Coordinate with supervisors, HVAC technicians, and other trades to complete work on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and protected work environment by following company and site safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment at the worksite.
- Report any installation issues, material shortages,



or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of HVAC duct installation techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements.
- Familiarity with GI, MS, and pre-insulated duct systems.
- Good understanding of safety procedures and PPE usage.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit to lift and handle duct materials.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / Relevant Trade Certification (preferred).
- 1–5 years of experience in HVAC duct installation (or as per company requirement).

Pay: ₹9,249.55 - ₹29,016.93 per month
