About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and result-oriented Plant Head to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations at our FMCG production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth shop-floor execution, optimum manpower utilization, production efficiency, quality compliance, and adherence to safety standards.

This role requires strong leadership, hands-on operational experience, and the ability to drive productivity while maintaining high-quality manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations Management

Supervise daily production activities and ensure smooth plant operations.

Monitor production schedules and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

Ensure efficient utilization of machinery, equipment, manpower, and resources.

Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams for seamless operations.

Team Leadership & Workforce Management

Manage shop-floor workers and shift operations effectively.

Allocate manpower based on production requirements.

Maintain discipline, productivity, and employee engagement on the production floor.

Train and guide operators and workers on operational best practices and safety procedures.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with GMP, hygiene, quality, and food safety standards.

Monitor adherence to SOPs and company policies.

Maintain a protected working environment and ensure proper use of safety equipment.

Support quality inspections and corrective actions when required.

Production Efficiency & Cost Control

Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.

Minimize production downtime, material losses, and operational wastage.





Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials and packaging materials.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily production reports, shift reports, and operational records.

Track production output, manpower attendance, downtime, and wastage.

Provide regular updates to management regarding plant performance and operational challenges.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum

3+ years of experience in FMCG, Food Processing, Beverage, Consumer Goods, or Manufacturing Industry.

Experience in handling shop-floor operations and production teams.

Strong leadership, supervision, and team management skills.

Basic understanding of production planning, machine operations, and manufacturing processes.

Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and quality standards will be an added advantage.

Education

- MBA in Operations Management (Mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Food Technology, or a related engineering discipline preferred.
