Procurement activities of RM and PM

Job Duties & Key Responsibilities

* Duties and Responsibilities - Job Responsibilities Procurement & Planning Plan and procure Raw Materials (RM), Packing Materials (PM), and Consumables as per production requirements. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP. Monitor purchase schedules and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with suppliers to resolve supply delays and quality-related issues. Maintain optimum inventory levels while avoiding stock-outs and excess inventory. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Generate and execute Material Requirement Planning (MRP) at the plant level using SAP. Review production plans and forecast material requirements. Monitor material availability to support uninterrupted production. Coordinate with Production Planning and Central Purchase for material replenishment. Inventory Management Monitor RM, PM, and consumable inventory on a daily basis. Conduct inventory analysis and maintain optimum stock levels. Perform ageing analysis of packing materials/Raw-Material and identify slow-moving/non-moving inventory and action plan for controlling. Implement inventory control measures to reduce excess stock and improve inventory turnover. Coordinate with stores for stock reconciliation and inventory accuracy.



Vendor Coordination Follow up with vendors for timely deliveries against Purchase Orders. Track supplier performance with respect to quality, delivery, and responsiveness. Coordinate with Central Purchase for strategic sourcing and procurement activities. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with Plant Head, Production, R&D;, QC, QA, and Central Purchase for Recent Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) related to packing materials. Ensure timely availability of approved materials for product launches and production schedules. Support process improvements across procurement and inventory functions. Audit & Compliance Participate in ISO, IMS, and other quality system audits. Maintain procurement and inventory documentation as per company procedures. Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensure stock accuracy by maintaining proper purchase records, verifying inventory, and supporting stock audit compliance. SAP & Reporting Generate MRP, Purchase Orders, inventory reports, and material status reports using SAP. Prepare MIS reports related to procurement, inventory, ageing analysis, stock consumption, and vendor performance. Utilize Advanced Excel for data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and inventory tracking. Required Skills Strong knowledge of SAP. Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Charts, Data Analysis). Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Knowledge of ISO/IMS documentation and audit requirements.
