The Dispatch Assistant supports the dispatch operations by ensuring the accurate preparation, documentation, and timely dispatch of goods. The role involves coordinating with the warehouse, transportation team, and customers to ensure effective delivery while maintaining proper records.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify dispatch documents, including delivery challans, invoices, and transport documents.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate picking, packing, and loading of materials.
- Assist in scheduling deliveries and coordinating with transport providers.
- Maintain dispatch records and update inventory and dispatch logs.
- Ensure dispatched products match customer orders and documentation.
- Track shipments and provide delivery status updates to customers or internal departments.
- Handle customer and transporter queries related to dispatch activities.
- Report dispatch discrepancies, shortages, damages, or delays to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Support stock audits and other warehouse-related activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or bachelor's degree (preferred).
- 1 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and dispatch processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP/software systems is an advantage.
- Good communication skill
