We are looking for an experienced XML Manager with hands on experience with books, to lead end-to-end XML publishing operations, drive workflow automation, and manage high-performing teams. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in XML technologies, publishing standards, and digital transformation initiatives, with proven experience in delivering large-scale publishing programs.

Location: Chennai
Role: Full-Time
Experience: 7–12 Years
Mode of Work: Remote (6 Days a Week)
Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days

Key Responsibilities

✔ Lead end-to-end XML publishing operations across multiple publishing programs
✔ Design, implement, and optimize XML workflows and publishing processes
✔ Define XML standards, schemas, DTDs, and best practices for structured content
✔ Drive workflow automation using XSLT, XPath, XQuery, and scripting technologies
✔ Manage XML publishing teams, allocate resources, and oversee project delivery
✔ Collaborate with editorial, production, artwork, and technology stakeholders
✔ Manage vendor relationships and ensure SLA compliance
✔ Lead digital transformation initiatives, including structured content and AI-assisted publishing workflows
✔ Establish quality assurance frameworks and drive continuous process improvements





Required Skills

✔ 7–12 years of experience in XML publishing
✔ Robust expertise in XML, DTD, XSD, and Namespaces
✔ Advanced knowledge of XSLT, XPath, and XQuery
✔ Hands-on experience with publishing standards such as BITS, DocBook, and EPUB
✔ Proven experience managing XML publishing teams and vendor relationships
✔ Strong understanding of Academic and STM publishing workflows
✔ Experience defining XML standards, schemas, and best practices

Preferred Skills

✔ Automation and scripting experience using Python, Java, or similar technologies
✔ Experience with CMS and publishing platform integrations
✔ Exposure to large-scale publishing programs and digital transformation initiatives
✔ Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
✔ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization abilities
