Job Summary:

The Cinema Projectionist is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining digital cinema projection and sound systems to ensure every movie is presented with the highest picture and audio quality. The role includes troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining projection equipment, and ensuring uninterrupted screenings for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate digital cinema projectors and servers before and during movie screenings.
- Create and manage movie playlists, trailers, advertisements, and show schedules.
- Ensure excellent picture quality, brightness, focus, and surround sound throughout every screening.
- Monitor all screenings and resolve technical issues immediately.
- Perform daily startup, shutdown, and health checks of projection equipment.
- Coordinate with the cinema operations team for scheduled shows and special events.
- Maintain projection rooms in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Perform preventive maintenance of projectors, servers, audio processors, amplifiers, and automation systems.
- Report equipment faults and coordinate repairs with service engineers.
- Maintain projection logs, maintenance records, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and safety standards.
- Provide technical support for private screenings, premieres, and corporate events.





Required Qualifications:

- Diploma/ITI/Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Hardware, or a related field.
- Certification in Audio-Visual or Digital Projection systems is an added advantage.

Experience:

- 1–3 years of experience as a Cinema Projectionist, AV Technician, or Projection Technician.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also apply.

Required Skills:

- Knowledge of Digital Cinema Projection Systems (DCP).
- Understanding of digital projectors, cinema servers, and audio systems.
- Basic networking and computer troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Technical Knowledge:

- Christie, Barco, NEC, or Sony Digital Projectors
- Dolby, Datasat, or QSC Cinema Audio Systems
- DCP Ingest & KDM Management
- Basic Networking (LAN)
- UPS & Power Backup Systems

Salary:

₹10,000 – ₹16,000 per month (Based on experience)
