Role Overview

The Beads Merchant (DIY) is responsible for managing the end-to-end merchandising process for the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) product category. The role involves inventory and merchandise planning, coordinating with design and merchandising teams, developing new products, preparing cost sheets, ensuring market competitiveness, and planning shipments with appropriate branding and packaging.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan inventory levels to ensure timely product availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Develop merchandise plans based on market demand, sales trends, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Designers and Merchandisers for product development and collection planning.
- Prepare detailed product cost sheets and evaluate pricing to ensure competitiveness in the market.




- Coordinate the development of new DIY products from concept through sampling and final approval.
- Plan shipments, ensuring proper branding, labeling, packaging, and timely dispatch.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to meet production and delivery timelines.
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products to identify new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate merchandising, costing, and inventory records.
- Ensure product quality, compliance, and adherence to company standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or product development, preferably in DIY, crafts, beads, or jewellery accessories.
- Strong understanding of inventory planning and merchandising principles.
- Experience in costing, product development, branding, and packaging.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems is preferred.
