Job DescriptionPosition: Assistant Manager – PPC (Production Planning & Control)Department

Operations / PPC

Job Purpose

To ensure effective production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and monitoring of manufacturing activities to achieve customer delivery commitments, optimum inventory levels, and effective utilization of resources across all manufacturing departments.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Scheduling

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements and sales forecasts.

· Develop and release work orders to manufacturing departments.

· Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to delivery commitments.

· Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Projects for smooth execution of plans.

Production Control

· Track production progress and identify deviations from the plan.

· Ensure timely closure of production orders in ERP.

· Analyze capacity utilization and recommend corrective actions to avoid bottlenecks.

· Maintain production status reports and dashboards.

Material Planning & Inventory Management

· Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with the Purchase department for timely procurement.

· Maintain optimum inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

· Ensure material shortages are identified and communicated proactively.

Customer Delivery Management

· Ensure on-time delivery as per customer schedules.

· Coordinate dispatch priorities with Stores and Logistics.

· Support customer schedule changes and urgent requirements.

ERP & MIS

· Update and maintain production planning data in ERP systems.

· Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.

· Analyze production efficiency, schedule adherence, and inventory reports.

Cross-Functional Coordination





· Work closely with Production, Quality, Purchase, Stores, Tool Room, and Project teams.

· Participate in production review meetings and drive actions for timely completion of pending orders.

· Support new product development and production ramp-up activities.

Continuous Improvement

· Implement Kaizen and productivity improvement initiatives.

· Drive reduction of WIP inventory and lead time.

· Improve planning accuracy and process efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Production Schedule Adherence: ≥95%

· On-Time Delivery (OTD): ≥95%

· Inventory Accuracy: ≥98%

· Reduction in WIP and Material Shortages

· ERP Compliance: 100%

· Production Plan vs Actual Achievement

· Customer Delivery Performance

· MIS Submission Accuracy and Timeliness

Qualification

· Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics.

· Experience5–8 years of experience in Production Planning & Control in manufacturing industries.

· Experience in Automotive, Precision Components, Stamping, Injection Moulding, Machining, or Connector manufacturing will be preferred.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
