Job Summary : L3 JD FOR STORAGE Job Role: L3 Job Location: India Years of Experience: 9 – 15 Years Specialty / Needs to Specialize in : Storage Administrator / SAN/EMC SYMETRIX Job / Role Description: To work in a 24X7 technology restoration and availability command center as a storage administrator Technical Skills required: • Expertise in managing EMC POWERMAX,VMAX ,VMAX 3, VPLEX,EMC Unity, VNX, NetApp storage arrays in heterogeneous OS environment • Expertise in vSAN and NSX VMware • Performance analysis and optimization plan • Expertise in managing Brocade SAN switches based complex SAN fabric extending across datacenters with multiple VSANs • Hands-on experience on storage & fabric management tools – EMC ViPR, EMC Unispehere, Solution Enabler/SYMCLI, NetApp OnCommand Manager • EMC ViPR SRM and Controller SDDC. • Good exposure to monitoring tools like Patrol, BEM, BPPM is highly recommended • Understanding & implementation experience of storage DR technologies – EMC SRDF, Recovery Point, Datastore Mobility, NetApp Snapmirror Expertise in troubleshooting storage access & performance issues • Handled multiple complex recovery scenarios in large environments Soft Skills required: • Should be able to drive restoration calls independently • Attention to Detail and Quality Focused • Good analytical skills and be able to correlate the issues • Excellent problem solving and resolution skills • Promoting Process Improvement • Flexibility in work in night shifts • Self-starter - ability to begin working with minimal coaching. • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills. • Provides information to others both internal and external to the organization. • Good decision making • Able to work independently as well as part of a team on multiple overlapping issues. Primary Responsibilities: • Restoration of high severity incidents • Lead and drive restoration calls • Engage & drive restoration with required vendors • Identify RCA for incidents & provide remediation plan with team • Present monthly analysis of incidents/restoration efficiency, RCA & remediation • Prepare remediation plan for environment based on RCA from incidents • Review & approve CRQs for impact assessment • Keep the Config Management DB updated • Keep the Known Error DB updated • Identify improvement opportunities in the environment & handover to teams Formal Education & Certification: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information system or equivalent • ITIL certified – Added advantage • Relevant technology certification is added advantage (EMC, NetApp, Cisco)
