Job Summary:

The Production Floor Operation Lead is responsible for supervising daily shop floor activities related to electrical lights manufacturing (LED bulbs, tube lights, fixtures, drivers, etc.). The role ensures production targets are met with required quality standards, optimal manpower utilization, and adherence to safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Management:

- Plan and execute daily production schedules
- Ensure achievement of production targets (quantity & timelines)
- Monitor line-wise output and efficiency

2. Shop Floor Supervision:

- Supervise operators and technicians on assembly lines
- Ensure proper work allocation and manpower utilization
- Monitor discipline and workflow on the production floor

3. Process Control:

- Ensure SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are followed
- Monitor critical processes like soldering, wiring, fitting, testing, packing
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly

4. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure products meet quality standards
- Coordinate with QC team for inspections
- Reduce rejection, rework, and defects

5. Material Coordination:

- Ensure availability of raw materials (LEDs, drivers, housings, wires, etc.)
- Coordinate with Stores and PPC teams
- Minimize line stoppages due to material shortages

6. Team Handling:

- Lead,



train, and motivate production workers
- Monitor attendance and performance
- Provide on-the-job training to current employees

7. Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure safety practices are followed on the shop floor
- Maintain clean and organized workplace (5S implementation)
- Follow company policies and compliance standards

8. Reporting & Documentation:

- Maintain daily production reports
- Track efficiency, downtime, and wastage
- Report issues to Production Manager

Required Qualifications:

- Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical
- ITI with strong experience can also be considered

Skills Required:

- Knowledge of electrical lighting products (LED assembly, drivers, wiring)
- Strong leadership and team handling skills
- Basic ERP / production reporting knowledge
- Problem-solving ability
- Good communication skills

Experience:

- 3–6 years in electrical manufacturing / lighting industry
- Minimum 1–2 years in supervisory or lead role

Additional Requirements:

- Ability to work in shifts if required
- Strong focus on productivity and quality
- Hands-on approach to shop floor issues
